Scammer Script / Description
This scammer calls mobile phone numbers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to stop the recording. They fail to provide a phone number and physical address when asked, yet further violating the TCPA. Their recording informs the victim that their student loan has been flagged for forgiveness, even though the victim does not have any student loans and there have never been any student loans affiliated with this mobile phone number. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.
