Scammer Script / Description
Said my computer had been hacked and was taking all of my personal and financial information. They took over my computer and wanted me to call my bank on their secure line and log into my email.; I got a pop up on my laptop saying that I was hacked so I panicked and called the number on my screen. They had me download ultraviewer.net, and I told them my name and number.; Dads computer was frozen. He google searched the number for Microsoft tech support and this was the number that showed up and looked legit. He called and the guy told him his computer and bank account had been hacked by a Chinese p**n site and he was charged $17k and that he was in big trouble. He asked my dad for the phone number to his bank and that "he would call the bank for him".; My computer was hacked and locked down. I called the "Microsoft Customer Service" number on my locked up computer screen. I talked to a technician. When the phone was disconnected, "Gary Roy" called me back on this number. He connected me to my credit card customer service to check my account. They told me $11,000 was being charged in 3 hours from overseas (Russia) from "bet online". To keep it from happening, the fraud department said I needed to buy $11,000 in gift cards.; There was a pop up on my computer saying that it had been hacked any my IP address was exposed. I tried calling the number on the screen and it directed me to a "possible" call center but something about it just didn't seem right so I hung up. Then this number (800)642-7676 called be back. I answered and didn't say anything and the person on the other end kept saying "hello??". Then, on the third call back, I answered and they said they were from windows Technical Support and I replied, "No you are not, please don't attempt to call me again or I will get the authorities involved."; Tried telling me my that someone tried to change the password on my Pay Pal account. And kept calling over and over till I blocked the number. Total scam; This no. Popped up on my mother's computer.said her computer had been hacked. She called it. The guy said he was from micro soft.
